  2. You should be a fan! Clovers add nitrogen to the soil, which is why I planted crimson clover as a cover crop while I gave most of the vegetable garden a break this year. I should have cut it back before it bloomed and turned it into the soil but I decided to just let winter kill it back and see if it spreads and grows more next year…. then I will turn it into the soil and plant, if I do a big garden in 2015!
