Seed Saving: Radishes

13/09/2014

Radish seed saving was easy: I only grew one kind (Pretty in Pink by Seeds of Change, which is no longer available for purchase) so didn’t have to worry about cross-pollination. For better seed germination, I let several plants bolt. They were quite pretty, sending up a long stem from which small white, yellow, and pink flowers grew. Eventually pods formed, much like beans or peas. Over the past few weeks they have been drying and I’ve slowly been collecting the seeds.
