A Visit To The Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens

05/06/2015

Last weekend mom and I took a trip to the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens, one of our favorite places. Since I moved back to New York it has really been expanding tremendously, and it has been exciting to watch all the changes from visit to visit. It has become even more special to me since Cherie had the beautiful idea to purchase a memory stone, along with the and the Information Center at Catalyst, in Gran’s honor, which is located in the walkway near one of the entrances to the outdoor perennial gardens. This time we were treated to a wonderful art exhibit, an Albright-Knox public art initiative, Shayne Dark: Natural Conditions. From the minute we passed through the entrance off Ridge Road we were impressed with the vibrant colors, size, and how well the pieces integrated into the gardens. I can’t wait to see how it looks in future visits, in other seasons. The wonderful exhibit will be on view until 4 October 2015.
